The history:

Well this won`t be easy...
It all started as Rick Brainian (an American) came to Schaffhausen. He hung out in the Fassboden Restaurant and got to know all the musicians. He thought it would be nice to have a concert in the Jugendkeller (SH). So he asked Orlando Valentini (bass), Bernie Ruch (drums) and Jeff Binoth (guitar) to play along. They did. During the concert someone from the audience called "what`s your name" They (the band) all looked at each other unknowingly and finally Rick answered ... the Rheinrockers.
A month later Rick went back to the "States" and the others had a few concerts.

About a year later Jeff got the band going again with Kurt Wulle (bass), Danny Meister (guitar) and Otto "Solei" Sollberger (drums). They played at the first POCH festival. Another highlight was their legendary "Wickie und die Starke Männer" concert on New Year`s Eve in the Jugendkeller.

Later Jeff got to know Claudio Peruzzo (guitar). It was "music at first sight". Yogi Brunner (drums) joined the band. The bass players always sort of changed. There was Reinhold "Spick" Grundel, Orlando Valentini, and Bruno Niederhauser. All in all, the band was around for 8-10 years.

After the Rheinrockers, Jeff didn`t want to play with the same name ( it was associated with Claudio) so he called the band simply: the jeff binoth band. Members of that band were again, Danny Meister (guitar), Stefan Bittlinger (drums) and on bass, Urs Rast. This band made the single "Schaffhausen" for the Schaffhauser soccer team FC Schaffhausen.
It was sponsored by Freddy Schumpf, owner of the "Palette" restaurant.
